Swamp Feathers
Bird watching has become one of my favorite leisurely activities. With an increase in feed quality, I’ve seen the variety of birds rhino drastically.
With this new heavy traffic, I’ve been finding lots of feathers around the yard
I was thinking of making a display to show them off. But while searching the internet I made a surprise discovery. The Migratory Bird Treaty Act made it illegal to own or sell feathers, bones, or egg shells from migratory bird species native to the United States. If you've ever picked up a beautiful blue robin eggshell and kept it on your desk, or used it in an art project, technically you're breaking the law.
That’s right. It’s illegal to pick up anything from a bird. Even in your own lawn.
Are you a law breaker?
